Shipping policy
SHIPPING, INSURANCE & DISPATCH PROTOCOL
At LBJ Watches, we understand that the secure transit of a luxury timepiece is as critical as the acquisition itself. We operate a high-security logistics framework to ensure every asset is protected from our vault to your wrist.
1. THE DISPATCH TIMELINE
-
Verification Period: Dispatch is subject to the successful completion of our Identity Verification (KYC) process and the receipt of cleared funds in full.
-
Handling Time: Goods are typically dispatched the following business day after payment clearance.
-
The Weekend Security Hold: To ensure maximum security, we generally avoid dispatching high-value items on a Friday or the day preceding a Public Holiday. This prevents your timepiece from remaining in a third-party courier sorting hub over a weekend. We prioritise "Vault-to-Van" transit to minimise time in the postal system.
2. DOMESTIC & INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY
-
UK National: All domestic shipments are sent via a premium, tracked, and fully insured next-business-day service.
-
International: We offer global shipping to most jurisdictions. International transit is subject to a bespoke quotation based on the asset's value, weight, and destination.
-
Customs & Duties: For international orders, the buyer is the "Importer of Record." Any local import duties, VAT, or brokerage fees are the sole responsibility of the buyer. LBJ Watches will not undervalue shipments for customs purposes, as this voids our transit insurance.
3. COMPREHENSIVE INSURANCE & RISK
Every shipment from LBJ Watches is fully insured for its replacement value until the moment of delivery.
-
Mandatory Signature: All deliveries require a valid, adult signature. We cannot ship to PO Boxes, hotel lobbies, or third-party "Forwarding" addresses.
-
Transfer of Risk: Legal risk of loss or damage passes to the buyer the moment the package is signed for at the designated delivery address.
-
Inspection Period: We strongly advise all clients to inspect the external packaging for any signs of tampering or damage before signing for the delivery. If the tamper-evident seal is broken, please refuse the delivery and contact us immediately.
4. IDENTITY & SECURITY REQUIREMENTS
To satisfy our insurance underwriters and UK Anti-Money Laundering (AML) standards, we require the following before any goods are released:
-
Valid Government-issued ID (Passport or Driving Licence).
-
Proof of Address (Utility bill or bank statement dated within the last 3 months). Note: The shipping address must match the verified billing address of the payment method used, unless prior arrangements have been made for showroom collection.
5. SHOWROOM COLLECTION
Clients are welcome to collect their timepieces in person at our Hatton Garden Showroom. This is strictly by appointment only. For security reasons, the individual who made the purchase must be the person collecting the item, and original ID must be presented on-site.
