Cartier is most well-known for selling luxury watches and jewellery. Fifty-seven years after the brand was founded, Cartier developed their first wristwatch in 1904. Their designs helped popularise men's wristwatches, which in turn helped the brand grow and expand into a new market.
After the brand was established in the watch industry, Louis Francois, the founder, introduced his sons and grandsons to give the brand some fresh perspective; this led to Cartier producing some of their most popular models that continue to shine through today and inspire new designs, such as the tank. Cartier stands out today, as they have kept close to their roots and heritage when it comes to the unique designs of their products.
