Omega

Omega have been around for a long time, since 1848, to be precise, and they’re here to stay. This may be due to the high-quality craftsmanship, Swiss movement and diverse catalogue range.

Omega is a fun and exciting brand with many limited editions and collector’s pieces. But they also design and produce large quantities of some of the world’s leading luxury Swiss watches, such as the Seamaster. Most commonly known for their relationship with James Bond, Snoopy, and NASA, Omega has sprouted strong roots in the Horology history book, and there is no doubt that they will continue to develop, design and innovate the watch industry for years to come.

At LBJ Watches London, we buy, sell, and source Omega. London has only a select few businesses that specialise in Omega watches.; however, LBJ Watches London does, and our trained professionals have the experience and knowledge to help you with any enquiries you may have.

Omega has one of the largest catalogues in the industry despite having a relatively small market share. Omega currently has just four collections, which consist of over 1,100 different watch configurations. The Constellation, Seamaster, Speedmaster, and De Ville are all timeless collections that Omega has expanded, with various subcategories and an impressive number of configurations.

Throughout years of experience handling Omega watches at LBJ Watches London, we have found that the most popular model is the Omega Seamaster, precisely the Diver 300m. The Seamaster 300m is a sports watch that is perfect for everyday use, with a 42mm stainless steel case and a rubber strap. The watch has many configurations, including but not limited to green, blue, black and sleight; the watch can also be found in various materials.

collaborations

Over the years, Omega has taken part in some fun and fantastic collaborations, with the most famous being James Bond. Omega partnered up with the movie franchise in 1995 and has not looked back since, creating new and innovative watches for each movie. One of Omega's most famous and recent collaborations has been with Swatch. This collaboration took the watch community by storm, with people queuing outside the stores for hours, trying to pick up any configuration they could. The Omega x Swatch moon watch was a way of creating an affordable timepiece without changing the brand's heritage.

Omega creates some very exciting and playful dials when creating its watches. One of Omega's rare and most sought-after models is a great example of this, the "silver snoopy award" Speedmaster Anniversary Series. This highly collectable has a stunning silver dial accompanied by three subdials, with a snoopy medallion embossed on the subdial at the 9 o'clock mark. The Snoopy Speedmaster was introduced as a tribute to the "silver snoopy award" that Omega received from NASA in the 1970s, showing gratitude and recognition for their contribution towards the Apollo 13 mission and space exploration. You can read more about the Snoopy Speedmaster by clicking here!

If you have any questions or queries about Omega watches, please get in touch, and one of our experts will be more than happy to assist you further. We have an office located in the heart of Hatton Garden, London, where we buy, sell, source and service Omega watches frequently.
