The Omega Speedmaster was first released in 1957 with the original intention to be a racing watch; just five years later, the watch passed NASA's rigorous testing, and from that moment onward, the Speedmaster rocketed in popularity just as fast as it rocketed to space. Most infamously known as the first watch on the moon, and having been present on all six moon landings, the Speedmaster is one of the most iconic watches in the World. Rich with history; it is a must-have piece for any collection.

Over time Omega has made some slight design changes to the moon watch, however, they have stuck to their roots and kept the use of a manually wound movement such as the watch that was originally taken to the moon in 1969.
