Rolex GMT Fat Lady 16764 Year: 1986
The Rolex GMT is a dual-time watch
that was originally designed for pilots to track multiple time zones. Rolex pioneered the watch industry in the 90's, and they were the first watchmaker to create a GMT watch, so the Rolex GMT has an exceptional heritage.
This particular model of Rolex GMT is known as the "Fat Lady" because of the slightly larger case when compared to other models. The 16760 "Fat Lady" was only in production for five short years, which makes it the shortest production Rolex GMT in history. The Coke and the Fat Lady are both discontinued, which means as time goes on, clean examples like this one become harder to find.
The watch we present to you today is in exceptional condition and comes with the original box, booklets, tags, calendar card and two spare bezel inserts. The timepiece has recently undergone a service with Rolex and is performing to a high standard. A watch register certificate and a 12-month warranty are also included.
